Opaque, light robin egg blue to green ranging from sky blue through various shades of green to greenish and yellowish gray. Real Turquoise is surprisingly light in weight. The finest stone is an even color with little or no mottling. A hydrated phosphate of copper and aluminum, if it contains iron, the color may be yellow. Some yellow turquoise is actually a mixture of jasper and quartz.
